Use Cases
Engine Manufacturer
Used for: | Outboard motor |
---|---|
Product used: | Emblem |
Print method: | Silkscreen printing |
Problem
The manufacturer wants to finish the outboard motor (speed boat engine) with an impressive emblem logo.
Yamacs’ Proposal
Yamacs recommended a combination of 3D metallic print (Cubee) with a potting technique.
Solution
By applying the process of potting to 3D metallic printing we were able to create a sample with a stylishly sleek feel for the client. The sample also passed all tests for seawater and outdoor exposure.
Result
Yamacs achieved a high-end feel similar to that of etching in metal. Passed all physical property tests without problem.
Customer Feedback
We were worried about the quality and cost with working with metal processing and molding but Yamacs was able to figure it out. (Designer)
Home Appliance Manufacturer
Used for: | Refrigerator |
---|---|
Product used: | Emblem |
Print method: | Welding |
Problem
The manufacturer was thinking to use a fabricated raised emblem logo but because the logo could be touched by hand there was the possibility of injury.
Yamacs’ Proposal
Yamacs recommended the use of a soft emblem logo.
Solution
Meeting the specific quality requirements for refrigerators was the decisive factor but we were able to confirm no problems from the physical property test data carried out in the past.
Result
The emblem logo is made from soft material so there is no worry about injury. And each letter is its own emblem which creates a more luxurious feel, something which is difficult to do with a fabricated raised emblem.
Customer Feedback
We were extremely happy as the product gives a very upscale, sleek feel with no detriment to our brand, and we were able to ensure end-user safety. (Designer)
